OUR SUPPORTERS

Speech Booster Club

The Lakeville North Speech Booster Club is made up of anyone interested in supporting the success of the North Speech Program. The Boosters are a 501(c)(3) organization that was formed in the summer of 2007. It receives both Minnesota and Federal non-profit status, and is able to receive tax-deductible donations.​

 

The Lakeville North Speech Team would not be able to do all that it does without the support of this group of dedicated parents. Their organizational efforts make this team one of the best supported in the state. We hope you will find the opportunity to become involved and witness the work that they do for us.​​ (See below for more information on the members of our Booster Board.)

Become a Supporter

Involvement can include:

  • Volunteering at the Lakeville North Speech Tournament (March 1, 2025)

  • Judging for invitationals (some training required)

  • Donation of food and beverages

  • Fundraising support for both the Minnesota and Travelling teams (many of the coaches’ salaries are funded entirely through the Booster fund)

  • ​Donation of business suits to our suit closet

  • Website development and support

  • Communications outreach 

  • Volunteer support for team activities

  • Liaison for public relations and support from the Administration and District Offices

The Executive Board of the Booster Club is made up of volunteers who care deeply about supporting the current and future success of the North Speech Program. We see first hand the value students derive at every level of participation on the team. The board holds monthly meetings open to anyone who wishes to attend. We encourage and value the engagement of all members of the speech community. We are taking steps to support, maintain, and continue to grow the local and national success of this outstanding program.

The Booster Board typically meets the second Tuesday of each month in classroom S120 at Lakeville North.
