WHAT WE DO

What is Speech?

Speech is more than just an extracurricular activity; it is a vibrant community where students can develop their unique voices, hone their performance and public speaking skills, and engage in the art of storytelling. Through each of the diverse categories, our members learn to amplify their voice and the voices of others with clarity, passion, and confidence, all while building lifelong skills (and friedships) that extend far beyond the classroom.

Speech offers opportunities for class clowns, future CEOs, actors, activists, writers, influencers, conversationalists, and those who maybe want to be a bit more of any of those things.

Lakeville North Speech is a team of over 60 students and 15 coaches who pride themselves on a long history of excellence. We have ranked in the top 20 teams in the nation for multiple years and have had many National Finalists and Semi-Finalists as well as State medalists.
